I was late getting out the door. My ability to work my GPS is suspect. Then, I got lost. A deer jumped out from nowhere. A friendly chipmunk said hello every time I looped past his hole. A squirrel with human issues fired obscenities at me from his tree. Mosquitoes tore at my legs like piranhas.
A beautiful run. Slow on purpose. I needed this.
